Sweetgrass is traditionally used by Native Americans for smudging. Considered a sacred herb, it is wonderful for spiritual purification. Its sweet, vanilla scent will bring you to a state of calm and create an atmosphere conducive to ritual.

To burn sweetgrass spead the blades at one end and light preferably with a wooden match. Then sway the braid to keep the sweetgrass smoldering. If indoors, open a window at that moment.
